Dave is a native of Bucyrus, Ohio and graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1965. He received his degree from St. Joseph's College, Rensselaer, Indiana with a  Bachelor of Science in Business Management.  He returned to Bucyrus at that time and joined his father John M. Dostal and Joseph R. Neff in the Neff-Dostal Agency, Inc.  Dave received his CPCU designation in 1978. 

Dave has been very active in the community serving many organizations.  He has served on the boards of Bucyrus Area Community Foundation and Junior Achievement. He has served on the board and as president of the Bucyrus Area YMCA, served on the board and as president of Bucyrus Country Club and was head of the United Way for many years.  In December, 1993, he was elected to the board of the Farmers Citizens Bank in Bucyrus.

Dave and his wife Deborah have a son, Mike, who joined the agency in 2005 and a daughter, Meredith, currently living in Chicago, Illinois.

Jeff began his insurance career in 1981 as a Personal Lines Underwriter at United Ohio Insurance Company. Over the next 20 years, he built a successful career as an Insurance Executive. Jeff held key executive management roles at Shelby Insurance Group, GRE Insurance Group, and GoAmerica Auto Insurance - a Liberty Mutual Group company. Jeff returned to his hometown to form Kirk Insurance & Financial Services in 2001.

Jeff holds the prestigious Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation. He is also a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), an Investment Advisor Representative (IAR), and a Series 6 Registered Representative.

Jeff is a past member of both the Shelby Red Cross and Galion Area United Way Board of Directors. He was recognized by the Galion Area United Way as their “Volunteer of the Year” in 2003. Jeff is also a member of the Knights of Columbus.

In addition to business and community involvement, he also enjoys golf. He and his wife Laurie have three children; Erin, Jennifer, & Logan.

Mike joined the agency in July of 2005.  He grew up in Bucyrus, graduated from Bucyrus High School and went on to college at the University of Colorado in Boulder where he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 2000.  Mike then moved to San Diego, CA where he worked for the Pacific Shellfish, Inc. wholesale seafood company.

After making the move back to Ohio and joining the agency in 2005 he completed the Cincinnati Insurance Company – Agency School.  Mike is active in the Bucyrus community and currently serving on the board of the local YMCA, Bucyrus Area United Way, the Chamber of Commerce, Bucyrus Area Community Foundation and the Elks Invitational Track Meet.  He is also in the process of receiving his CPCU designation to further his insurance career.

In July of 2011 Mike married Kiley Baldwin and they reside in Bucyrus. They enjoy travelling, golf and spending time with friends and family.

Denise entered the insurance business in 1989 as a Customer Service Representative at the Hugh Place Insurance Agency in Galion, OH. She took her five years of agency experience and later joined Shelby Insurance Group, where she was a Personal Lines Underwriter, with responsibility for the state of Pennsylvania. Denise holds the Associate in Personal Insurance (API) designation, as well as a Certificate in General Insurance.

Denise is responsible for all aspects of personal insurance sales and service at the Galion location. She is a member of the Galion Rotary Club and an Ambassador for the Galion Area Chamber of Commerce.

Denise & her husband Shawn reside in Galion.  They enjoy boating on Lake Cumberland & Lake Erie with their family & friends.

Diana joined the agency in the fall of 1983. A key employee, Diana handles much of the personal lines, claims, bookkeeping and manages most of the office activities. In 1989, Diane received the CSR designation and in 1987, she became a licensed agent.

In addition to her work with the agency, Diana is very active volunteering in New Washington, Ohio and has served on the board at the Bucyrus Area YMCA.

Diana has a son, C. Dane, who graduated from Buckeye Central High School in 2004 and is currently employed by Studer-Obringer Construction. Diana also has a grandson named Madden.

Megan joined the agency in 2010.  As a Financial Services Specialist, she is responsible for all technical and administrative support for the agency’s book of financial services business.  Megan is a graduate of Buckeye Central High School.  She is a 2010 graduate of North Central State College where she earned her degree in Accounting.  Megan is licensed to sell and service Life, Health, & Disability Income Insurance in the State of Ohio.

In addition to her professional duties, Megan is a member of the Advisory Committee at Pioneer Career and Technology Center.  She enjoys spending time with family, trapshooting, & outdoor activities.

Carissa was born and raised in Bucyrus, Ohio. She graduated from Wynford High School in 1990. Carissa attended Bowling Green State University and graduated in 1994 with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration.

After spending a few years living and working in Raleigh, North Carolina and a Chicago suburb, she returned to Bucyrus in 1998. Carissa began her employment with the agency in August of 1998 and obtained her agent's license later that year. She handles commercial lines accounts for the agency. . She is active in the Wynford Elementary PTO, and currently serves as secretary. She is also involved in Junior Achievement as a classroom volunteer at Bucyrus Elementary.

Carissa and her husband, Phill, reside in Bucyrus. They have a daughter, Abigail.

Heather joined the agency in March of 2011. Residing in Bucyrus most of her life, Heather graduated from Bucyrus High School in 2004 and went on to receive her Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral and Social Sciences from The Ohio State University in 2010. Heather received her agent’s license in April of 2011 and is now handling activity with personal lines accounts as well as office administrative duties.

In addition to her professional duties, Heather enjoys spending time with her family, going on walks, and reading.

Jane Kuraly

As a personal insurance specialist, Jane is responsible for all personal insurance sales and service activities for our Powell Ohio office.

Jane has lived in Dublin for the past 17 years and has raised her three sons in the area. Christopher, 21 is now a Junior at The Ohio State University. Sean, 18 will be playing hockey for The Miami Red Hawks at Miami University in Oxford next year.  And Nicholas, who is at Davis Middle School, is in 6th grade and he is proud to be playing hockey for the Junior Blue Jackets Organization.

Jane enjoys travelling with Nick to his hockey games on the weekends, and when she can, Jane loves to go to Indianapolis to watch Sean play for the Indiana Ice.

Her interests are diverse. However her passion is decorating and design and she feels fortunate enough to have spent the previous 6 years cultivating a small furniture/refurbishing business here in Powell.

Jane grew up in Toronto Ontario, but she is pleased to call Ohio home.

Lorie McCabe

Lorie joined Dostal & Kirk in December 2011.  As a business insurance account executive, Lorie is responsible for selling and servicing commercial property and casualty  accounts from our Powell location. Lorie is a native Ohioan and Ohio University graduate. Lorie previously had a successful career in commercial printing sales. In 2005 Lorie became licensed in life and health insurance, acting as an independent agent and is now looking forward to transitioning to the P&C side of insurance.

Lorie and her husband Jeff have resided in Powell for last 24 years where they have raised their three children; Thomas, Sam & Rachel.  Lorie is involved in the community through school and church activities. She enjoys running, biking, photography, music and spending time with family and friends.

Logan, a sophomore at Miami University, joined Dostal & Kirk in 2011 to complete a summer internship. He will continue to stay involved with the agency when he returns to school in the fall as one of the Dostal & Kirk Facebook page administrators. He will graduate from Miami in May of 2014 with a business degree in Finance.  He is a 2010 graduate of Shelby High School.

Logan also operates a vehicle detailing business in Shelby, a business he launched himself seven years ago.  In his free time, he enjoys running, traveling, going to concerts, and spending time with friends and family.
