Overview:
This position is the backbone to providing our personal insurance clients with a best-in-class experience. One of the unique things about the position is the versatility of duties; one part of your day may be spent onboarding a new client and later you could be assisting a client through a claim. Regardless of the task, each one matters and has purpose.
Critical tasks may include:
- Communicate regularly with third parties (clients, prospects, vendors, carrier partners) in-person, over the phone and electronically on a daily basis
- Onboard new personal insurance clients into the agency by evaluating potential coverage solutions, preparing applications, working with insurance carrier partners to issue policies and keeping the client informed throughout the process
- Assist clients with claims and communicate with claims adjusters as needed
- Process policy changes for clients as they are received
- Review policy renewals for material changes needing to be addressed
- General office duties such as daily mail, customer payment processing, and others as needed
Ideal candidate characteristics may include:
- Energetic, can-do attitude, ability to multi-task, embraces technology, community minded, team player
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Associate’s or bachelor’s college degree
- Insurance experience not required
- Property & casualty insurance license (agency will take care of this upon hire)
- Solid interpersonal skills to deal effectively with clients and team members
- Strong experience within Microsoft computer products (Windows operating platform and associated applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and related applications
